A Movement Toward Biofeedback Healing

People generally strive to feel their very best at all times, but it’s difficult when we face pain, inflammation, and a general feeling of unease. When we have pain or other symptoms, it generally means something is wrong in the body. From the effects of too much stress to arteries that are blocked, there are several ways in which biofeedback detects and corrects issues that people are facing. By correcting the problems that biofeedback detects, it becomes easier to feel well and enjoy life.

There has been an increasing interest in the use of biofeedback in various medical departments in recent years. Several new studies have also emerged to provide more evidence on how biofeedback can provide real benefits to the human body.

Numerous studies have been released that support the efficacy of biofeedback as a potential mechanism in the management of certain health conditions.

A study published in the International Journal of Behavioral Medicine shows that certain biofeedback applications hold the potential to improve chronic back pain symptoms. The researchers considered 21 previously published studies in total, which covered 1062 patients. The use of biofeedback resulted in reduced pain intensity symptoms. It also assisted with complications associated with lower back pain. This includes a reduction in disability, muscle tension, and depression found among these patients.

While further research is still needed, one study explains that biofeedback may also be a useful tool in patients with a risk of heart disease. A research paper in the Frontiers in Psychology journal notes that heart rate variability biofeedback is a commonly used technique, also known as HRVB. Several disorders are treated with the use of this particular technique. In some cases, it can also be used as a method for enhancing overall performance in the human body.

In more recent news, scientists are now attempting to use artificial intelligence, along with biofeedback technology, to monitor and assess vocal inputs from patients. The current focus of these studies is to use the patient’s voice to determine the risk of coronary artery disease. The artificial intelligence technology analyzes voice patterns and looks for specific markers that may indicate blocked arteries. While still at an early stage, this technology is sure to improve over time, and the researchers may also utilize data derived from voice analysis to study other biomarkers in the patient’s body.

Biofeedback is a technology that uses a different approach compared to more traditional medical treatment solutions. Recently, there has been a surge in interest in the use of biofeedback to assist in treating various health conditions. Research shows that biofeedback may hold potential in the management of pain symptoms. It is also now being used as a way to detect certain markers in the body by analyzing voice prompts, which can make the process of remote diagnostics and biofeedback treatment significantly easier for both the patient, as well as the care provider.
